Went to the exchange office to get some Lao Kip today and it was crazy. The American dollar is worth 10,700 Kip currently and we needed to cash $100 traveler's checks. They only had notes in denominations of 5000 so we looked like druglords leaving the place. Jenn is sporting a nice stack there, huh? About a million Kip each. I'm rolling with 100 G's in my pocket right now, biatch. Also pictured, our new pals from the UK. They wanted to make sure we posted that we drank those beers before dinner time. Reputations to uphold and all.

Lyns - If you really want a real snakeskin purse, I'm sure I could find one for ya. Trust me, when it comes to animals over here - very little is taboo. And look at all that cash!? Sad thing is, that's only $100, but in Kip, I was a millionaire... lierally. Miss you guys - tell the whole fam hello!

Hi guys, loved the river pictures. Posted a note earlier but I didn't know it posted at whatever section you were looking at and was at the bottom of the page. Awaiting a cooking class from your experience, looked yummy! Even I haven't drank a Beer Laos! Happy trails, Big Mare

Big Mare! Nice to hear from ya! I try to stay on top of these messages, but once they are further down the page, they get lost. We'll have to get all the girls together for some cooking once we're home - too bad we can't import some beer. The Beer Lao is the best so far (in my opinion), and the Singha from Thailand is a close 2nd. You would like it... but I'm not sure I've ever seen a beer that you don't like... :) Love you guys!
