Another day

Went to the zoo, walked up a lot of stairs to see a wat, ate some bugs at the Sunday street market. Pretty nasty little grubs or larvae or something of the sort. Had to try them just for the spectacle of it, but I doubt we'll go back for the grasshoppers. Tomorrow Jenn goes to cooking school to learn how to make her man some eats and I am getting a long massage for about $5. If anyone reading cares about baseball, you can go ahead and put Jim Thome on the board. Check out the smog over Chiang Mai. Gross.

Hey, you guys just gave me an idea for appetizers during the Holiday season!! Dip the little critters in some chocolate fondue, then listen for the crunch! Beats marshmellows any time.
Jenn, I'm going for a massage this week. Wonder if I can talk the owner of the salon into a $5 payment?!
Loving all of the pictures. Glad things are going well.

Bugs....Jenn I never thought you would be so brave. It's looks you two are having a good time. Like the look on Erik's face. Just got home. Had lots of fun. I'll try to send an e-mail tomorrow. Love you.

Truth be told, we only ate one of the little buggers and threw the rest away. They were seasoned - thankfully - but the texture left much to be desired. We figured we had to at least TRY them.... likely will be the last ones we try. But not to worry - we hear there's plenty of snake, monkey and dog in Vietnam.

Hi guys, pad thai, yum. You'll have to give us a cooking class when you get back. Pictures look great, can't wait to see the ones from along the Mekong. Happy trails! Big Mare
